and Blackcomb Mountain as well, for the same ticket price and
now thanks to the Peak to Peak gondola, you can get from one
mountain to the other without having to descend to the village.
Each mountain has vastly different terrain giving you all
possible options from dropping into Whistler Bowl from the Peak
Lookout on Whistler to heading down Spanky's Ladder into the
Blackcomb Glacier Bowls, some of the most steep and deep in the
world. You also have incredible playgrounds like the Nintendo
Terrain Parks on both mountains, the Magic Castle and Tree Fort
for kids to racing terrain, glaciers and a tube park. Whistler
Blackcomb Resort has it all, and all in one place.
Now, keep in mind there is a lot to do in winter but Whistler is not just about winter, you wouldn't believe what is available to you in summer. You can still ski or snowboard on the Glacier well into July but most people don't come in summer for the snow, they come for the hiking, they come for the golfing, the lakes, the fishing and at the top of the list would be the mountain biking. The Mountain Bike park is second to none. Grab your bike, hit the Gondola and be treated to hours of trails from meandering flowered glades to hardcore downhill with every conceivable type of technical ride you could think of.
There is one more thing worth mentioning, the apres-ski life in the Village. The City of Whistler awaits you, featuring some seriously good restaurants, really happening clubs, big names in live music, world-class festivals, quaint pubs and bar patios to rival the very best.
